Frequently Asked Questions
1. When are appointments available?
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, with evening hours on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
2. How do I make an appointment?
Please call (631) 473-0996.
3. What kind of insurance do you accept and for what service?
I accept insurance for individual psychotherapy. I participate in the following plans: Medicare, the Empire Plan for New York State Employees, the Suffolk County Employees Mental Health Plan, MDNY and United Behavioral Health.
Insurance is not accepted for marital/couples counseling as it is not a covered service under any health insurance plan. I will not falsely claim I am treating one person for a psychiatric disorder when I am really providing couples therapy.
4. When do I make a payment?
All payment is expected at the time of service.
5. How frequent and how long are psychotherapy appointments?
Appointments are generally weekly and range from forty-five minutes to an hour and an hour and a half.
6. Can your office be reached by public transportation?
Yes, it is walking distance from the Long Island Railroad and is close to a bus stop. For more specific information, please visit my Directions page.
