IMAGO THERAPY
Imago Therapy is a form of relationship and couples therapy that focuses on transforming conflict into healing and growth through relational connection.
It involves three main steps: mirroring, validation and empathy, which help couples move from conflict to deeper understanding and connection.
I pull from various techniques but find Imago Therapy particularly helpful for couples to effectively communicate with their partner without causing emotional disconnection when addressing difficult issues.
Every couple develops patterns. We’ll discuss where yours come from. The behavior your parents exhibited growing up can unconsciously have been incorporated into your relationship. We’ll also explore how previous experiences impact you today. Once you’re aware of your negative patterns, Imago therapy can help you break them and teach you new and effective ways to relate to your partner.
